NWCF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (SR)

At NWCF, our social responsibility is very important to us. Our policy is a community-based approach, whereby we try to help whoever is in need. Along with this approach, we will ensure that all of our efforts are within the spirit of the law. NWCF respects professional ethics and standards under national and international law. In our service to the community, by the social responsibility principle that we embrace, and the professional ethics that we hold to, we provide the following services:

1. Pro bono services: we grant legal and nonlegal services to children and their families without charge when they face financial burdens. We believe it is our moral obligation to help those in need.

2. NWCF offers legal and non-legal training to our beneficiary communities.

Our commitment to pro bono services is broad due to the fact that we offer these services to many disadvantaged individuals, especially women and children, who can be vulnerable at family, community, and societal levels. Examples are wide-ranging, including those who have been the victim of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, as well as Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and economic violence.

Specific examples include the following:

1. Legal support for women who have been denied their inheritance rights after the death of their spouses.

2. Legal support for families facing wrongful eviction from their property.

3. Providing advice to individuals in children’s centers, children’s homes, and families.

4. Advice and counsel to institutions and NGOs that deal with children’s issues.

5. Support for children who have been wrongfully denied their right to education and proper care, as required by national law.

We encourage our firm consultancy partners to devote their time fully for pro bono works, for we believe “it is more blessed to give than to receive.”

NWCF stands against SGBV, child abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence.
